1st Alaska Outdoor School is designed as an adult educational adventure outpost centered on the wilderness experience. We Incorporate practical and realistic adventure skills in a fun and informative teaching model and setting. While there are specialized schools teaching adventure travel, almost always the skills taught are centered on one activity. Our vacation enterprise offers our guests adventure and the skills of remote living in Alaska. We impart an intimate knowledge about the skill sets required to travel, live and play in the Alaskan wilderness in safety. Our location is on the Chatanika River which flows from the White Mountains about 100 miles northeast of Fairbanks, Alaska. The Chatanika flows through the north side of Minto Flats, a huge migratory bird nesting area and empties into the Tanana River.
